11 May 2006:

Thanks to all who came out to Barefoot Coffee Roasters last Saturday. The show went well musically, and as always the beverages and the ambience were excellent. Your Faithful Drummer got into the espresso during the break and pushed it to 180 bpm, but he regrets the error and swears it won't happen again.

We're looking at a return engagement somewhere in early June, and we'll let you know when the details get set. Someone will get sent off to update the web page, fear not. And finally, the Cows are heading into the studio this summer to record properly glossy versions of some of the tunes; we'll update you with details, pictures, maybe even snippets of sounds as things progress.

Most of the Gods Of Rock Whom We Worship aren't on the road right now, with the exception of Wisely who's on the Right Coast and Midwest for the rest of this month. If you're in town, go see him pronto and throw up the horns during his set, especially if he plays Bacharach. Otherwise, we encourage you to get out and see as much live music as you can, particularly on a school night.

23 February 2006:

Down Cows are hosting a yard party in Sunnyvale for recording artist Wisely!

Willie Wisely (website) will be performing at the Norman Compound, nerve center of the Down Cows musical production proto-empire, on Saturday April 1, 2006. (This is not a joke.) In case you haven’t met his music before, it’s a melodic, energetic pop with thoughtful, evocative lyrics: a perfect complement to Down Cows’ own rich dairy sound.

Doors open at 7:00 pm, music starts at 8:00 pm. Depending upon circumstances, we’ll try to get in a Down Cows set afterward.

It’s a casual garden party, so we’ll have some beverages available and we’ll have a nice hot grill stoked up. Cover is an astonishingly affordable $10 (cheap). All ages welcome.

Directions to 1490 Norman Drive, Sunnyvale Calif. are available at this link.
